Im just wondering if anyone out there wopuld be interested in a swap/trade? I am in need of your odments of lily peaches n creme cotton yarn in sililar colours to the blanket i am making.

I started this a while ago and as the dark nights are now drawing in i thought i would pick it up again but i have run out of some colours, i have green, red, cream and white but would love some light pink, aqua and blues, or any other colour which would mix in well. I would swap for one of my mug warmers, or apple bag??

Yesterday i came home from work and decided i need a new doorstop and here it is.The fabric which i used for the sail boat is in the sale at Ikea along with lots of others and its reduced to £1.50 a metre.... bargin.

We are back from our hols and have had a lovely time at the Algarve, the weather was nice, i even coped ok with the flight bit and sat near the window coming home.We stayed in a lovely appartment which was very nice and had everything close by with just a short walk down to the beach, my sister in law owns it which was lucky for us so if anyone fancies renting it i can fully recomend it!

We are all a bit sad to be back home now though and its so cold.

on crochet, i really should be getting our suitcases packed n things ready for our holidays but im trying to take my mind of the flying so if any one has any tips for someone whos scared of flying then please let me know them.Im trying out the tutorial from Lucy at attic24 for the hexagon blanket with some scrap yarn i have left over from the granny squares blanket.

For the past week or so we have been having a bit of a change around in the kitchen and its finally finished, well almost, the pics are a bit crap because its a bit dark in the kitchen first thing.

they lead into my conservatory which has had a lick of paint in this lovely shade of green

Here's my little corner in my conservatory where i can quite happily sit for ages in the summer.

It's finished at last and i love it, so does the dog as well. I want to start another one now and im thinking bright colours for the next one.

now these i can't stop making now iv'e started. There is a tutorial for these on Attic 24's blog along with lots of other lovely things, i love this blog.

The dolls set is also finished and is now on ebay so fingers crossed it sells.

Since i last blogged???? where has the time gone to, i have been busy knitting and taking pics as i go along so heres a few pics.The ones above are dolls set with knitting lace.

This one is made with magic wool which knits up like this.

heres my daffs which have looked lovely while they have been in flower.

and here is my new rocking chair!! I love this and when my crochet granny squares blanket is finished it will look fab on this chair.

and lastly is some HOME letters which i won on ebay not sure where i am going to put them yet so they are in the hall window for now.

These are the treats for me, my daughter is a body shop consultant and i had a party for her last week, heres what i got, some lovely smelling cherry flavour shower gel, i also got the body butter to go with it, it smells so yummy and who could resist pink large nail files?

I have been wabting some of these lovely brushes for a while now.

I have sewed up the pile of granny squares i have been making because i just couldn't wait anymore, now i am still making them and adding round, it's quite big all ready but im going to keep going until i run out of yarn, its so soft.

I have just come across the lovely atic24 blog which has some of the most lovely crochet going on and where i found the pattern for this, its just a jam jar but im going to use it on my table to put pens etc in.

While doing the food shopping i picked up some mini daffs which are just the right size for my shabby chic tea cup.

I have been having a break from the granny squares and trying out a few tutorials. Heres a knitted flower which i found on ravelry and i have made this one for you, just leave a comment on this post and i will do a draw, i havn't put a broach pin on the back of this flower because i thought i could be used on anything really.

The secomd make is this lovely valentine heart which has a crochet edge, now i have had this one printed of for ages and only just got round to making it, i found it on blog land and i think it is by orange flower, but this ones for me.

our holidays for 2009 have been booked today.

we are going to spend Easter in Portugal with my sister in law and family.

Lucky for me my sister-in law owns this lovely apertment which she rents out. Its the first time for me going abroad, my daughter went there last year and said how fantastic it was so i have plucked up the courage to fly.

Right now in my work basket which sits at the side of my seat is the crochet granny squares.... again, the pile is growing though and i so want to get this finished, i started it last year then put it away but its back out again now and im hoping to have it finished this year.Its made with sugar n cream cotton yarn and its lovely n soft.The main colour is white with pastel pinks, creams, greens, blue etc. I did put all the squares out on the floor just to get a feel of how its going to look last night and i loved it.

Also just finished these new face cloths, or dishcloths, they are just the easy grandmas favourits cloth but then just to fancy it up a bit i have added some edging to them.

Sorry the giveaway has still not been done, we have had a busy weekend and my youngest always likes to pick it out so we will try and get it done tonight.Last week was spent giving the house a detox, i have had a really good going through and got rid of loads, to the charity shop, recycle bins etc and finally feel like it getting junk free.
I have been making some more flowers, i did want to string these along the top of my bed but they just wasn't sitting right, anyway i have found a home for them now and think they look sweet hung over here.

Hi... i hope everyone is settling into the new year and getting back into the swing of things. The kids have gone back to school today and things are getting back to normal now.

I havn't been doing much crafting over the christmas holidays.So nothing much to show.

but i have managed to make some more crochet flower corsages in nice new spring colours, and one of them is for YOU..... just leave a comment and i have a nice pink one waiting to be delivered to its new owner. Will pick the winner towards the end of the week.

More of the knitted dish cloths have been made too, just small simple things and thats all i have to show you for today but hopefully i wil be getting the machine out again soon and back to making things.

I have just finished this hand knitted scarflette for a dear friend of mine, i just hope it makes it over the pond in time for christmas now. I also made one in cream but my daughter has worn that one for work today, i think i will have to get one made for myself!

sorry i have been a bad blogger recently, have been busy getting orders finished. Im now getting in the christmas mood and have made some reindeer food ready for the kids for christmas eve. If you click the photo it will enlarge for you to see the poem which i found through google.

There will be more mug warmers in the shop soon, they are selling so fast but now that im a celebrity get me out of here is back on the telly i can get some knitting done while im watching it.

Hi, it's been a while since my last post, first i cut my hand which went the wrong way and had to go have a tetnus jab, also i have been full of cold which has had me laid up for most of last week. So i didn't get much done, i have been getting back into card making again and these are a few i have done.

Today the nice postman had a parcel for me from my lovely friend Penny, look at my new bag, Penny makes these herself and has some in her etsy shop if you are quick enough, arn't they trendy!

and theres more, i have been really spoilt!! some bias tape made by Penny, a cute little gift bag, some tards, which Penny has been making and yes theres more...

some of my fav yarn, i now have a new colour to add to my crochet blanket, thank you so much Penny. Also a fabric flower basket, i love this and its just my colours too so its going in my bedroom, the sweets have now all gone though.

I made a few more knitted donuts and got them sewn up yesterday

i just really wanted something to put on my new pink cake stand.

and while i was lai up i read the best book, the follow up to divas don't knit, i loved this book and didn't want it to end, does anyone know if there is going to be another one?

crochet, bodyshop and new unit

What a boring title post, i couldn't think of what to put. Has anyone tried the bodyshop body butter? Katy at i'm a ginger monkey sent me some as a gift last christmas and i have fallen in love with it , it smell so lovely. Well i needed some more so decided to throw a body shop party for a friend (which ment i got mine for free), since then my oldest daughter has signed up and become a consultant for body shop.So my night time knitting has now gone out the window as most of my friends are holding parties for her, which means i have been invited to them, i can see this costing me money lol.
I just fancied making something differant from the cotton cloths and mug warmers which i have orders for and wipped up this really quick, it crochet and iv'e turned it into a bobble for my youngest daughter. the pattern for the flower i found here
why is this the wrong way round?? It's my new set of drawers which i picked up the other day, its much nicer in real, white wood with wicker baskets which are now al full of dvd's and ds games, all neatly put away. The heart which is hanging on the front was a gift from Natalie at Summer by the sea.

My camera is back.....I just fancied making something today, i have a big order for the mug warmers and cotton cloths but thought before i start it i wanted to make these flower hairclips.
I also bought this great pattern for knitted donuts from here, arn't they cute!
the next pattern i have is one of Julie's at little cotton rabbits, its for her lovely yummy cakes which im looking forward do making a batch of.

Been busy making Ellie some new clips ready for going back to school.
Look what i got today.... this super cute hare and i love it. It's from Nat at Summer by the Sea.
Also Nat sent me this fantastic cushion which has taken pride of place in my conservatory where i spend most of my time and also a pin cushion and some fabric. Arn't they all lovely!! Thanks Nat!!

Remember me asking where i could get my hands on some sugar n cream yarn.... well the lovely Penny answered my prayers and heres what i recieved today from Penny, there's loads of it and im one happy bunny now, its so nice and soft to use.Each ball has a pattern on too.
i just had to start something with it straight away and couldn't wait to make one of these scarfs which is also something Penny told me about.

Also, not just the yarn Penny also sent me loads of fabric. Thank you so much !!

Today the postman brought me not one but two lovely packages. The first is my swap from Rachels cupcake swap. Lily was my swap partner and has sent me the most lovely package which included this fantastic apron which has so much detail in it, the colours, the three pockets on the front, the colours everything i love about it, and then to top it all it has another side to it which is just as nice. Thank you so much Lily, Lilly's pics are better then mine too so the top two pics are from her lovely blog where you will find lots more great things.

Also in my package was some coffee and these lovely coasters which i had been eying up on Lily's blog, six of them all together, arn't i lucky !!

The next parcel was from Tamar and her daughter Talia (isn't that a cute name) . Mel hosted a swap for the kids to recieve a parcel, sewing/crafting. I mentioned that Laura like scrapbooking and look at all the lovely goodies that arrived in the post today for her!
There is sewing, papers, ribbons, stamps, fabric, sewing set, a scrapbooking box set to make, rub ons, brads and more and more, click the pics for a better look.Thank you so much Tamar and Talia. Been having a little spend, first this set of three lovley mixing bowls in blue cream and pink which were only £3.99
next these side plates which i think are lovely which were only £1.99 for the four and came in a lovely box too, as did the bowls.

here is the box, i wish i had bought some more which i could have used as gifts.
These two book i bought for our neighbours who have an alotment and often bring us things from there.

i picked up a new knitting bag, the Tesco Cath Kidston bag which is just great and i wish i had got a few more.

Little house pillow.... i made this for Ellie to have on her bed and made the little houses into a pocket for her to "house" and little things she takes to bed with her , which is usually her ds, now she can slip it in her pocket and not lose it in the night.
Also knitted this dress dishcloth, which is a brilliant idea i found the pattern for on ravelry, once you have used it you just hang it onto your washing up liquid to dry it out ready for next time, i made this one using double strands of cotton yarn.

How cute are these tea towels..... they even have blanket stitch around them, its a rubbish pic, they are a lovely pink and greens and the top one has applique mixing bowl on it. They are from primark which opened its doors today, yep i was there for 9.00am waiting for it to open lol. Got lots of lovely things.
Now for the giveaway, i have a large piece of this lovely fabric which i want to share with you, its lovely thick fabric to work with...
then next is this knitted heart which the pic has come out the wrong way round but i have it hung on my machine to stick pins in, this one is for the giveaway and has a little hanging loop at the top.

since making one of these for myself i just had to have some more of them, they are so soft and nice on the skin.
these ones are made using two strands of cotton yarn to mkae them even thicker and softer and are now in my shop

I recieved this lovely suprise in the post on Saturday from Karen, i made a comment on Karens blog saying that i liked the cupcake fabric and then in the post came the cupcake fabric along with some lovely cotton wool, thread and a lovely handmade card, thank you Karen, that was so nice of you !

My mum came over to vist yesterday and brought this lovely set which she has knitted.
This is my things i have made for Racheals cupcake and tea swap, a fabric basket, needle holder and cupcake tea towel along with some tea, hope my swap partner is going to like it.

i have just recieved another order from the house of rose where i wrote about a few post ago, quite a few people asked me to let them know what i thought of the goats milk soap regarding my daughter excema, i would say that yes it is making her skin a lot softer which is helping with the itching as her skin is not so dry now, i was a bit worried about using soap as i never do normally its the creams and oils in the bath. The hearts are coco butter bath melts which also seem fine to use as well, we have not had any flare up so far so i would recomend giving it a try.
Sheila now has her own etsy shop too. I also again recieved lots of freebies to try out, the bear soaps, the chocolate melts and a yummy looking cake.
I am never throwing any scraps away again.... yesterday i sat and started sewing them all together, not knowing what it was going to turn out like but i like it, i think this is going to turn into a small tote bag. Which also reminded me i never did the giveaway, with going on holiday i forgot all about it for the bookmarks, so we will pick the winner out for those tonight as my daughter likes to choose.
Right im of to make some more passport cover as i am getting lots of orders for these.

This is something i wish i had made before i went on holiday.
Now it has its own little bag to keep it safe and i also added a little carry handle and inside also has two small slots to hold games.
next up is a tea bag holder which i also wish i had took with me to hold some of my own tea bags in.
Inside has the blue flower fabric lining.

and there is space for pelnty of tea bags. Great to have in your bag. This one is going in my shop

Yes i know i should be packing but its still not done, or anything else come to that and i still have this stinking cold, anyone have any good tips to get rid of it quick? But i have got some what i'm going to call tatty bookmarks, page keepers made.
I got the urge to make something with my scraps and just started sewing them together and then they turned into these.
Tatty bookmarks which i might even make some more of when i come back next week, what do you think?

On Tuesday we are going to Euro Disney, so spending the weekedn getting stressed, iv'e not got our euro's yet, not got things ready to be packed, not bought toiletries and on top of all that i have a stinking cold. Made Ellie this cute little bag for her little bits and altered a plain note book for her to use as her autograph book.

I just wanted to post some pics of the lovely soap i recieved today from The house of Rose. My youngest daughter suffers from excema and had read about goats milk been good for this so thought i would give it a try. I found this site selling the soap i was after and found the seller very helpfull, i only ordered the goats milk but when my parcel arrived this morning there was all these other little samples for me to try, some bath melts which is also good for excema and other skin conditions and some cute little starts bears and hearts, how nice !

this photo should have come out at the bottom. On Saturday i recievd my kitchen swap from Kath and i love it. Kath made me a tea cosy which is in log cabin style, i have always fancied having a go at this and when i recieved my lovely cosy it inspired me to have a go, i just used some scrap fabric all the same colour just to give it a go and i was hooked i loved sewing it. I needed something to park my bum on so its gone on this chair.
heres my lovely gifts, Kath sent me some "English breakfast tea" and a silver tea strainer to go with it.
Just look at the detail on the front of the cosy, all neatly stitched i had to take a close up to show you.

I just recieved two lovely gifts in the post, the one above is a prize i won in Laurie's giveaway , its a lovely lavendar smelly which has a cute little dress with stitch detail, i love it thank you Laurie.
Also there is two lovely cards which wasn't part of the giveaway so thank you for those too.

The next gift was wrapped up in this lovelt funky fabric and was a total birthday suprise from Katy.
Just look at this georgoues tea cosy house, I LOVE IT!!!!! I love the fabric which Katy has used and the little fabric tag, and this is just the view from the back.....

Next week its my birthday, and my blog birthday so i am going to be doing a little giveaway, not sure what its going to be yet.I can't believe a whole year has passed since i started blogging, i still feel quite new to it. i have just opened the most lovely gift from Penny, just look at these tea towels, and iv'e tried to do a close up because Penny has stitched "Sarah's Kitchen" on them, although these are far to nice to actually use and they are going to be just for show !
In my fav colours too!

right, heres the giveaway, my pics have all come out the wrong way round,but here goes, Penny you are going to be so proud of me..... i have at last worked out how to do the little crochet things and this is my first one, although she's not spot on perfect i am very pleased with her, so just leave your comments and we will do a draw for the winner of her.
Next up is the last of my order for the tea and cake room, its baking kits made using calico fabric, inside is childrens baking things and then tied up with rope and a cookie cutter added to the tie.
Here's my new camera bag from Penny also, do you remember the wrap up bag i had made with the same fabric, well now i have this great camera bag to go with it, i LOVE it, check out Penny's blog, i think she may have some in her shop.
inside has extra padding and a little pocket to store your memory card in etc.

Also these came from Penny, i just love crochet dish/face cloths and Penny has made these two for me, again i dont think i can bring myself to actually use them,lol, too nice.

Just look what i got from Clare, i am soooo pleased with my swap things, i just hope now that Clare likes hers too. I got this lovely mini quilt which is just my colours.

THEN, yes theres more, is a cute Bunny face which Clare also has a pattern for on her blog and this great little needle case, complete with pink pins.

Here they are, my swap goodies have arrived from Pauline and they are even better in real, the stitching is so neat, i have tried to get a close up. Pauline is soon going to add some of her things to her new blog, littlebig projects, over there in my favs list.
these are so yummy, they look good enough to eat.
and i just love this little one which has a hanger to use as a phone charm , yes it really is so small it must have been so hard to make. Pauline has these for sale at $8 inc the p&P, iv'e already placed an order for another one.

It's the best pic i can get at the moment, but our cat has had kittens, four of them, two are grey and two are ginger, the are so cute and all ready have loads of fur so i think they are going to be fluff balls like their mum.

to Sam at Incy Wincy, me and Sam came across each others blogs and decided on a mini swap as i loved her buttons so much. Sam sent me not one but two sets of lovely hair bobbles. These are so cute, along with selling lovely buttons Sam also makes great cusions among other lovely things.

A lovely wire heart which i recieved yesterday from Alison who has a lovely newly opened shop selling lots of lovely things.
A knitted string shopping/market bag which i made up last week while i was feelinf a bit of it, in fact i made up a few extra ones as well.i found the pattern for it on purl bee.

Then, this was a first for me, knitting on dpns, but i managed it ok and here is my first knitted apple jacket, so no more bruises for my apples, Ellie wants one for her teacher.

My dear friend Penny makes these lovely bookmarks, heres one in use in my Diva's don't knit book which i am just loving reading right now.

I ordered one from Penny's etsy shop and she sent me TWO , how nice was that so i think i am going to give one to Laura as she is a corner turner, i cant stand that.
Then..... best of all is my new no more plastic bag shopper bag made again by Penny . Penny started making these a few weeks ago and is selling out as soon as she is listing them, they really are so good, great price too. I asked Penny if she could make one up for me as i had missed out on her listing,i got to choose my colours and asked for something shabby chic, pinks greens, creams etc, well i couldn't have picked better myself, i just LOVE the coulours that Penny picked for me and can't wait to go out and use my new bag, it also all wraps up to pop in your handbag too.
